Monomoy Girl, a 2-year-old Tapizar filly who had impressively won her first two outings on the grass, made an impressive shift to the main track for her stakes debut Oct. 29, romping by 6½ lengths to capture the $82,670 Rags to Riches Stakes at Churchill Downs.
Lasting Legacy, a 3-year-old colt from the first crop of Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1) winner Tapizar, improved his record to two wins in as many starts with a three-length allowance score Oct. 13 at Belmont Park.
Tapizo, a 3-year-old Kentucky-bred son of Tapizar, racked up his second career victory Oct. 8 when he defeated older horses over 1,800 meters at Kyoto.
Mr. Crow rattled off his second dominating victory of the Saratoga meet Aug. 30 when taking a seven-furlong allowance race by 6¼ lengths in 1:22.07. The performance earned a 104 Beyer Speed Figure.

Tapizar colt Mr. Crow broke on top and increased his margin at every call in the July 22 Saratoga opener, winning by 11½ lengths in a sharp 1:09.44 to post the year’s highest Beyer Speed Figure by a 3-year-old.
American Pastime, the promising 3-year-old Tapizar colt who earned “TDN Rising Star” status for his 4½-length debut victory March 11, returned to the Santa Anita winner’s circle June 11 after a similarly impressive allowance score.

Gainesway’s young stallion Tapizar has had quite a good run of late, siring five winners in eight days. The most exciting of these might have been American Pastime, whose brilliant debut March 11 at Santa Anita Park earned “TDN Rising Star” designation and a 91 Beyer Speed Figure.
