Gainesway excels in the sales ring by focusing on select limited numbers and offering the highest quality horses. Each year we consign at Fasig-Tipton July, Fasig-Tipton Saratoga, Keeneland September, Fasig-Tipton October, Fasig-Tipton November, Keeneland November, and Keeneland January.
For 15 consecutive years, Gainesway has ranked among the top four consignors by gross sales. Gainesway has been the leading consignor by average with 100 or more yearlings sold for 12 of the last 13 years. In 2025, Gainesway sold over $116 million worth of bloodstock, and our yearling sales led by average for consignors with 100 or more offered. Gainesway’s Average at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Selected Yearling Sale was $755,000 with a gross of almost $13 million and 100% sold. Gainesway’s average at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale was 148% above market average and sold 14 million dollar yearlings.
Our Horses Sell
A hallmark of Gainesway’s sales program is our ability to sell horses. Every year since 2006 Gainesway has been a world leader by percentage of horses sold.
In 2025, we sold 87% of all horses offered (460 of 524). In 2024, 87%; In 2023, 86%; In 2022, 86%; In 2021, 90%; in 2020, 90%. These numbers are even more remarkable considering on average, just 70% of all horses offered at public auction sell in the ring.
