Halladay makes Gainesway's 17th Grade 1-winning Sales Grad in the Past Four Years

Halladay Wires the field in the Fourstardave H. (G1) at Saratoga

Halladay, a Gainesway yearlings sales grad at the 2017 Keeneland September Sale, wired the field in the Fourstardave H. (G1) at Saratoga over the weekend, which includes a fees-paid berth into the Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1) on November 7th at Keeneland.

Going one mile on the turf with Luis Saez in the irons, Halladay prevailed by more than one length over reigning Fourstardave (G1) winner Got Stormy, crossing the wire in a final time of 1:33.32 for trainer Todd Pletcher.

Halladay became Gainesway’s seventeenth Grade 1-winning sales grad in the past four years. Bred in Kentucky by Gainesway Thoroughbreds Ltd. and Winchell Thoroughbreds, LLC, Halladay is by War Front out of the Tapit mare, Hightap, who herself is a dual graded stakes winner. He is campaigned by Harrell Ventures, LLC.
