TAPIT’s Valiance wins the Eatontown Stakes at Monmouth

Valiance, a four-year-old filly by Gainesway’s TAPIT is back to her winning ways!

Fresh off an AOC victory on July 28th at Colonial Downs, TAPIT’s Valiance put on yet another impressive performance on August 29th at Monmouth, winning the Eatontown Stakes for conditioner Todd Pletcher.

Going one and one sixteenth miles on the dirt with Nik Juarez up, the daughter of TAPIT raced close up on the inside, angled off the railway on the far turn, rallied three wide passing the quarter pole, moved up alongside Gotham Gala nearing the furlong marker, then took everything over. She crossed the wire a length and one half in front in a final time of 1:44.25.

Bred in Kentucky by China Horse Club International Limited, Valiance is out of the Grade 1 winning mare Last Full Measure (Empire Maker). The filly brought $650,000 as a yearling at Saratoga, making it into the accomplished hands of current owners Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners & Marty Schwartz.
