Weekend Performances Give TAPWRIT International Stakes Form

It was a stakes performing double for TAPWRIT over the weekend when Goryanka won the Autumn Stakes in Russia and Taylors Tap finished third in the My Trusty Cat Stakes.

Goryanka has proven to be a top filly in the Russian ranks with two victories and two second place finishes in four starts. Those races have ranged from five furlongs to a mile for owner Balimuradov Sh.L. and trainer Babuyev I.A.

Goryanka hails from the family of the Hall of Famer Cigar, with her dam Adamaris out of Cigar’s half-sister Arcadiana – the dam of Grade 3 winner Cigar Street. Arcadiana is also a half-sister to Puerto Rican champion Mulca and multiple stakes performers.

A winner on debut, Taylors Tap was making her second start in the My Trusty Cat Stakes at Delta Downs on Friday and was just a length from winning. Bred by Whisper Hill Farm, Taylors Tap hails from the family of Grade 1 winners Miss Shop and Power Broker among others.

TAPWRIT is the sire of 13 winners – putting him ahead of horses such as Accelerate, West Coast, City Of Light, and Always Dreaming – with 53.33% of TAPWRIT’s runners hitting the board at least once.
