The ultra-tough Steel Cut is offered in foal to SPUN TO RUN for her fourth foal as Hip 2305 from Gainesway. One of two stakes winners out of Oklawaha, Steel Cut was a 13 time winner with eight other on the board finishes including seven at the stakes level.
The earner of nearly $500,000, the mare is bred to SPUN TO RUN on a March 8 cover and saw her first foal finish just 1 ¾ lengths behind the winner on debut at Meadowlands.

Tiznow daughter Three Quarter Time comes into the sale as Hip 2322 carrying to SPUN TO RUN on an April 22 cover for her first foal. The mare has a strong group of producers behind her with all three of her dams listed on the page producing stakes horses.
Her own Grade 3-placed dam Zinzay is the dam of stakes winner and Grade 1-placed Moon Over Miami and is out of a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Music Note, who produced this year’s Dubai Word Cup (G1) winner Mystic Guide and Grade 3 winner Gershwin. Those under Three Quarter Time’s third dam also include multiple Grade 1 winner Musical Chimes.
Tiznow mares are proving to be exceptionally strong broodmares with 133 stakes performers and 27 graded stakes winners, led by nine Grade 1 winners.
The dam of stakes winner and Grade 3-placed Honor The Fleet, Afleet Lass is offered by Gainesway as Hip 2372. The winner of 10 races with nine other top three finishes in 27 starts, the stakes winning Afleet Lass hit the board in three of her five stakes runs.
As a broodmare, Afleet Lass has produced three winners of 11 races with two other placers from six runners. A half-sister to the dam of Brazilian champion Juno, Afleet Lass is carrying to SPUN TO RUN on a February 16 cover.
A multiple stakes producing mare in foal to SPUN TO RUN comes as Hip 2433 from the Gainesway consignment. Concert Strike is out of a stakes winning mare and herself has proven to be a strong producer. From her five runners, Concert Strike has produced stakes winner Night Strike and stakes placed Lavi and Tia Flor with all five of her runners winning a combined 23 races between them.
Concert Strike had a colt by TAPWRIT this year before visiting SPUN TO RUN the following month for an April 27 pregnancy.
Ramsey Farm-offered Hip 3109, the Kitten’s Joy mare Stainless Kitten, could see a big update at the Breeders’ Cup. The 9-year-old mare’s page includes Grade 2 winner and Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1) hopeful Life Is Good, who is under her second dam. Stainless Kitten also sees Grade 1 winner Diamondrella and stakes winning, Grade 1-placed Bonnie Blue Flag on the page with eight stakes winners named under her stakes winning second dam in all.
Bred to SPUN TO RUN on a March 11 cover, Stainless Kitten’s only foal to race from two aged three or older is a three-time winner.
Ramsey Farms also sends Hip 3289 through the ring, another Kitten’s Joy daughter who has already produced a stakes winner. A granddaughter of Canadian champion Chopinina, Frisky Kitten is the dam of multiple stakes winning 3-year-old Chasing Artie. That gelding has started in stakes his last three outs with two stakes victories and a third to his name. The mare also has a 2-year-old full sister to the stakes winner and was bred to SPUN TO RUN on a February 28 cover this year.
The winning mare Prepared is offered by Gainesway as Hip 3438 at Keeneland carrying to SPUN TO RUN. The mare is a half-sister to TAPIT’s Grade 2 winner Thoughtfully, Grade 2 winner Annual Report, and a full sister to multiple stakes winner Giant Payday and stakes-placed Flores Island. The dam of a two-time winner from one to race, Prepared is a granddaughter of Grade 1 winner Furlough and from the family of Grade 1 winners Dancing Spree and Fantastic Find among others.
By Giant’s Causeway, Prepared is carrying a foal bred on the same Hard Spun x Giant’s Causeway cross as 12 winners from 16 runners including two stakes performers.
The Keeneland November Breeding Stock sale kicks off on November 10 and runs until November 19. SPUN TO RUN’s first mare through the ring is offered in the fourth session as Hip 1415 with that session starting at 10:00a.m. ET.
