It was a big 72 hours for SPUN TO RUN to kick off April with the stallion seeing Dear Chairman win an Aqueduct Maiden Special Weight by 12 ¼ lengths two days after SPUN TO RUN registered a two winner day.
Dear Chairman wasn’t the first out of the gate in the one-mile dirt race, but he quickly took control and left everyone behind. Jockey Christopher Elliott let his mount coast a few lengths ahead of the rest of the field before letting him increase that lead around the turn.
Asking for more coming into the stretch, Dear Chairman was happy to comply and crossed the line 12 ¼ lengths in front.
Good Morning and Happy Sunday!
The largest margin of victory across North America yesterday came from the 5th race at AQU, where Dear Chairman broke his maiden by 12 1/4 lengths in a MSW for trainer Juan Carlos Guerrero with the promising young rider Chris Elliott aboard!… pic.twitter.com/iE2EXDc8hN

Trained by Juan Carlos Guerrero for Ten Strike Racing, Dear Chairman was also the second winner of the week at Aqueduct for SPUN TO RUN.
That other winner was Twenty One Kid, who was registering his third victory only about an hour before Spinning Pride won an Allowance Optional Claiming race at Hawthorne.
Spinning Pride was looking to win for the second time in two starts in the 5 ½ furlong dirt race after winning on debut at Turfway Park.
Unlike Dear Chairman, Spinning Pride took a come-from-behind approach when settling in the second-to-last spot early out of the gate. Taken wide by Alexis Centeno around the turn, it gave Spinning Pride the room he needed to take off and go for the lead.
That lead came shortly after entering the final furlong with the Bianca Candelas trainee winning by 3 ¾ lengths and the third placed runner 6 ½ lengths behind the winner.
SPUN TO RUN is the sire of 12 winners in 2025, tying him for seventh among all second crop sires, and is the sire of 25 winners overall.
