That colt is a half-brother to two winners from two to race out of the winning Smart Strike mare Smart N Soft. Smart N Soft is a daughter of Grade 2 winner Softly, whose siblings include Grade 3 winner Coragil and the dam of Grade 2 winner Conquest Big E. Bred by Gainesway, this colt was sold from their consignment to Gina Fennell for $150,000 at last year’s Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Select Yearling Sale

Hip 80 from Brick City Thoroughbreds is named Summer Tappin Time. The Yvette and Richard Wira-bred filly has family success behind her as a half-sister to stakes placed runners Into Summer and Wyfire with their winning dam Summertime producing six winners from six to race.

Summer Tappin Time’s dam is a full sister to multiple graded stakes winner Summer Wind Dancer, who is also a stakes producer and the dam of a stakes producer as well. In all, there are eight stakes performers under Summer Tappin Time’s first two dams with three of her granddam’s daughters producing stakes performers.

A filly familiar with the sales ring is TAPWRIT’s daughter out of As Rulers Go offered as Hip 200 from Cary Frommer. The Narola-bred is out of a half-sister to dual Grade 1 winner Switch and stakes winner Keystone Gulch, who is the dam of Grade 2-placed Top Ravine and Grade 3-placed Celtic Beauty. As Ruler’s Go is also a half-sister to the winning Tessie Flip, the dam of stakes winning Jo Jo Air. This is also the family of Epsom Derby (G1) winner Pour Moi.

Waymore LLC-bred Hip 402 is offered by her yearling purchaser King’s Equine during her second time through the ring. The March 18-born filly is a half-sister to stakes winner Creative Thinking and multiple stakes-placed El Buen Consejo. Their Street Cry dam is just the latest from the family to produce stakes winners with each of the juvenile’s first four dams producing at least one stakes winner and two stakes performers.

Out of a granddaughter of stakes winner and successful broodmare Sticky to Beauty comes Hip 531 from Whitman Sales. The filly is a half-sister to four winners from six to race and out of a half-sister to Grade 3 winner Buffum and multiple stakes winner Stormy West from four stakes performers out of Storm Beauty. A stakes winner herself, Storm Beauty is also a half-sister to champion Gold Beauty, whose descendants include European Horse of the Year Dayjur, champion Sky Beauty, Grade 1 winners Pleasant Home and Tale of Ekati, and others.

TAPWRIT son Tap Collector has had major updates since the last time he went through the ring last October with the Gainesway and Bridlewood Farm-bred colt a half-brother to dual Grade 2 winner Kathleen O from the only foal of racing age out of his dam.

That pair is out of the stakes-placed Quaver, whose granddam Pretty ‘n Smart produced Grade 1 winner Cupid by TAPIT in addition to multiple Grade 3 winner Heart Ashley and stakes winners Ashley’s Kitty and Indianapolis.

Quaver visited TAPWRIT twice more after foaling this colt with yearling and weanling fillies to show for it.
