It was an eye-catching debut for TAPWRIT’s Tap Your Dream on Sunday when the filly raced to a 4 ¾ length Del Mar Maiden Special Weight victory.
Tap Your Dream spent the early part of the six-furlong dirt race tracking the leader before challenging around the turn. That one wasn’t willing to give in but as they reached the stretch, Tap Your Dream had worn the filly down and quickly started to pull away.
From there, Tap Your Dream built up her margin to win by 4 ¾ lengths, by the third placed runner over five lengths behind.
A $180,000 OBS Spring Sale of 2-Year-Olds graduate, Tap Your Dream is owned by Stetson Racing and Cornelia and Ioan Campeanu and trained by Tim Yakteen.
The filly was bred in Indiana by Tommy Wente and hails from the family of Grade 1 winners Sahara Sky and Nyquist.
She is one of 40 winners for Belmont Stakes (G1) winner TAPWRIT with three of those winning stakes races. It’s been a big September already for the stallion with four winners this weekend alone.
