TAPIZAR's Monomoy Girl Captures her 6th Grade 1

Winner of the La Troienne (G1) on Oaks Day

Champion Monomoy Girl (TAPIZAR) was an emphatic victress of the La Troienne (G1) Friday, her sixth Grade 1 triumph lifetime, increasing her earnings to nearly $3.4 million. Monomoy Girl made easy work of the field under Florent Geroux which included fellow Grade 1 winners Vexatious and She’s a Julie. She remains a perfect three for three this year for conditioner Brad Cox, and owners Michael Dubb, Monomoy Stables, The Elkstone Group, and Bethlehem Stables.

A decorated daughter of leading 5th-crop sire TAPIZAR, Monomoy Girl was bred in Kentucky by FPF LLC & Highfield Ranch. A Gainesway sales grad, she was purchased by BSW Bloodstock / Liz Crow, agent at the 2016 Keeneland September yearling sale. TAPIZAR leads his crop by percentage of graded stakes horses lifetime.
