TAPIT’s Essential Quality Adds Champion 3-Year-Old Honors to Resume

Only 13th colt since 1936 to win 2 and 3-year-old honors

In June, Essential Quality helped TAPIT make history in the Belmont Stakes (G1) when becoming the stallion’s fourth winner of that classic – the first to do it since the 1800s. On Thursday, he became only the 14th colt since 1936 to be named Champion 3-Year-Old Male the year after earning Champion 2-Year-Old honors. TAPIT runners have now earned nine championships between them. TAPIT is also the sire of this year’s Champion Male Sprinter finalist Flightline.
