One of only two TAPITs on offer at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale, Hip 205 became his sire’s 45th million-dollar yearling when Resolute Bloodstock flipped the board to seven figures on their final bid.
Offered by Gainesway and bred by the Tapit Syndicate and Don Alberto, the March-born colt is a half-brother to the stakes winner and Grade 3-placed Renio Joy. That runner leads the five winners from five to race out of Giant Remex.
Giant Remex herself won multiple Group 3s in her home country with the Giant’s Causeway mare one of three stakes performers out of Group 2 winner South Remera. That mare also produced the stakes winning Relinda Inc, who is the dam of Group 2-placed Ojazos Verdes and Grade 3-placed Bonsai. The page also includes Group 1 winner Bat Recio and Group 2 winner Storm Rancher.
Though he only had two yearlings entered in the sale, TAPIT’s influence was strongly felt among the 35 yearlings to sell for seven figures at Fasig-Tipton.
Of those 35, seven were out of TAPIT mares and five others were by TAPIT, his sons, and grandsons – an outstanding 34.29% of the yearlings to hit that benchmark. Three of those yearlings out of his daughters were in the top 10 prices, selling for $2.3 million or more.
TAPIT has also had a huge impact on the track this year, leading all broodmare sires by winners and stakes performers. He also sees multiple sons with runners doing well in addition to TAPIT registering five stakes winners and 11 stakes performers in 2026 himself.
TAPIT is joined by two sons on the Gainesway roster in CHARGE IT and TAPIT TRICE with both having first weanlings this year. Grandson WHITE ABARRIO is also joining the Gainesway roster in 2027.
