SPUN TO RUN Yearlings On Offer at Fasig-Tipton February

Four yearlings from the first crop of Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1) winner SPUN TO RUN are cataloged at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale next month, starting with Hip 183.

Offered by Stuart Morris, the filly is out of the multiple graded stakes winner and multiple Grade 1 placed Great Hot. That mare is the dam of two winners from three to race, led by TAPIT’s three-time winner It’s Good To Be Us.

Great Hot is a half-sister to the dam of stakes winner and Grade 1-placed Overath and is out of a half-sister to Grade 1 winners Hennessy and Pearl City with the family also including Grade 1 winners Hold That Tiger and Editor’s Note.

A colt out of winner Infinite Hope consigned by Kinga Farm is offered by Hip 213. A half-sister to stakes winner Brother O’Connell and stakes placed Single Verse, Infinite Hope is the dam of one winner from one to race and is out of stakes winner Shared Dreams. That mare is a daughter of multiple stakes winner and Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf (G1) second Coretta.

The colt is bred on the same Hard Spun son x Dynaformer daughter cross as the winning Cheongma Hwanghu from two runners while Hard Spun is the sire of stakes winner Desert Duchess and multiple graded stakes fourth Tamleek out of Dynaformer mares.

SPUN TO RUN’s final through the ring on the first day of selling is Hip 215 from KP Sales. A half-sister to winner Policy Limit, she is out of a granddaughter of Grade 2 winner and Grade 1-placed Alysbelle. That mare is the dam of stakes winner Matikane Kinnohosi with the names under her on the page including 15 stakes winners and 27 stakes performers overall.

Alusbelle is also a full sister to Horse of the Year Alysheba with their dam a full sister to the dam of Lear Fan.

SPUN TO RUN only has one offering on Tuesday, Hip 357 from Stuart Morris as agent for Highclere.

The colt is out of the Jimmy Creed mare Ruby Roan, a half-sister to the multiple stakes winning Britt’s Jules and Probation Read in addition to Grade 1-placed Social Probation and stakes placed Dirty Rush. Dirty Rush is also the dam of multiple stakes placed Rush Now.

The extended family includes champion As de Trebol and Grade 1 winner Rose’s Cantina and Fancy Naskra with MCKINZIE also having a Fasig-Tipton February offering from the family as Hip 285.

SPUN TO RUN also sees two mares carrying his foals offered at the sale – the two time winner Beside Still Water as Hip 43 and the stakes winner and Grade 3-placed Pious Ashley as Hip 324.

The Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale takes place on February 6 and 7 with each session starting at 10:00am ET.
