Weanlings by SPUN TO RUN are set to showcase their Breeders’ Cup-winning sire’s first crop at next month’s November breeding stock sales.

On November 6, two weanlings by the stallion are set to go through the ring at Fasig-Tipton starting with Hip 12.

Offered by Frankfort Park Farm as agent, the SPUN TO RUN colt is out of Kitten’s Cardinal, a full sister to multiple graded stakes winner Banned. Kitten’s Cardinal is a granddaughter of stakes winner and Grade 1-placed Footing. Named on the page are 17 stakes winners and 23 stakes performers overall led by champion Prelude Rye and Grade 1 winners Peristaltica and Sinfonia Fantastica.

Fifty hips later, Bluewater sends Hip 63 through the ring. That colt is out of the winning More Than Ready mare Quick Thinker. A two-time winner herself, Quick Thinker has produced four-time winner Think Blue from her first foal to race. Quick Thinker is out of AFLEET ALEX’s stakes winner A Brilliant Idea, who is one of two stakes winners and five stakes performers out of Grade 3-placed Rutledge Ballado.

In all, three of the four dams on the colt’s page have either won stakes or produced stakes winners.

The next day, attention shifts to Keeneland for the Keeneland November sale where 15 Spun to Run weanlings go through the ring.
