The first mares bred to multiple Grade 1 winner LOCKED have checked in-foal, Gainesway announced March 3.

She Be Boss (City of Light) is out of the Grade 3 winner, Nellie Cashman. She is full sister to Grade 2-placed Cassiar and half-sister to Grade 1-placed Bendoog (by Gun Runner).  This will be her first foal. She Be Boss is owned by Nathan McCauley’s River Oak Farm.

Malibu Moon’s Funny Moon, winner of the Coaching Club Oaks (G1), is owned by Gene Batia and boarded at Jim & Pam Robinson’s Brandywine Farm. She is already the dam of multiple Grade 2-placed This Tea and most recently Creole Chrome winner of the Star Guitar S. on February 28th by 6 ¾ lengths at Fair Grounds.

Itgetsgreaterlater, by Triple Crown Champion Justify, is owned by Wasabi Ventures Stables and is boarded at Serendipity Springs Farm. She is out of a full sister to Grade 1 winner Cupid.

LOCKED secured his first Grade 1 victory when he captured the Claiborne Breeders’ Futurity (G1) at two before finishing third in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1). At age three, he returned to defeat older competition in the Cigar Mile, defeating Grade 1 winners Book’em Danno and Mullikin.

LOCKED delivered his signature performance in the Santa Anita H. (G1), where he won by a record-setting 8 ½ lengths, the largest margin of victory in the race’s storied history. He earned a 109 Beyer Speed Figure in that effort, which was the co-highest of the year at 1 ¼ miles by an older horse.

LOCKED stands for $35,000 LFSN at Gainesway.
