It was a second maiden winner this week for SPUN TO RUN Friday when Farley Hall won a Del Mar maiden in his third start.
The Peter Eurton trainee jumped quickly out of the gate in the six furlong dirt race and comfortably settled as the pacesetter. It was clear why bettors sent him off as the heavy favorite as Farley Hall continued to extend with every stride after clearing an early challenger.
Jockey Tiago Pereira kept the juvenile focused in the stretch and Farley Hall didn’t disappoint, winning by 9 ½ lengths.
Owned by Helm Racing Stable, Barbara Evenson, and Jeffrey Lambert, the Donaldson Stable-bred was sold by Gainesway for Dennis O’Neill at last year’s Keeneland September Yearling Sale.
He is the second foal out of an Into Mischief half-sister to the multiple stakes placed Munny Grab. The duo is out of stakes winner Another World, who has seven winners from seven to race. The page also includes Grade 1 winners Changeintheweather, Pleasant Stage, Marsh Side, and Nadal among others.
