The November breeding stock sales were off to a successful start for CHARGE IT on Monday when AW Bloodstock went to $240,000 to buy his colt.
Offered by Hartwell Farm on behalf of Hennessy Bloodstock, this colt was a well-bred offering with plenty of blacktype on the page.
His Unbridled’s Song dam The Bull Unbridled was unraced but has produced a placed runner from her two to race. Her own dam produced eight winners from nine to race with the group led by Grade 2 winner Shes All Eltish and the Grade 3-placed Elizabul. The mare also passed along her producing power with one daughter producing two stakes performers and She’s All Eltish’s daughter producing Group 2 winner Immigrant Song.
The 18 stakes horses named on the page are led by Group 1 winner and champion Blossoming Fields and seven other stakes winners.
Attention now moves to Keeneland November, where CHARGE IT has 23 weanlings on offer.
