Tapit was represented by his second seven-figure 2-year-old of 2019 when his daughter out of the G1-winning Artie Schiller mare My Conquestadory brought $1.3 million at the Keeneland April sale April 9.
Tapit, America’s leading active sire by lifetime Graded Stakes winners and Grade 1 winners, continued to flash his dominance March 12 at the opening session of the OBS March Sale.
Following another sensational weekend, Gainesway stallion Tapit continued to soar above all other North American sires as the runaway leader by stakes winners, black-type horses, graded stakes winners, and graded stakes horses.
Karakontie, a brilliant miler and 3-time international G1 winner, is represented by his first-crop 2-year-olds at the OBS March Sale. Among the three juveniles catalogued, two breezed today (March 7) with both posting exceptional times.
Gainesway stallion Tapizar was represented by his third career graded stakes winner when his talented daughter Jeltrin defied her 50-1 odds to capture the G2 Davona Dale at Gulfstream Park March 2.
Birdstone’s 5-year-old Louisiana-bred son Underpressure recorded his second stakes triumph of the Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots meet on March 2.
With two new graded stakes winners, Tapit soars ahead of all 2019 North American stallions by black-type winners with nine to his credit. English Channel and Curlin are tied for second on that list with four graded stakes winners each in 2019.
