ANCHOR DOWN’S Swot Analysis Rust-Free in Return

Gelding makes easy work of Woodbine Allowance

Coming back to the track off a nine-month layoff, ANCHOR DOWN’s stakes-placed Swot Analysis proved to be even better than when he left, winning a Woodbine Allowance by 3 ¼ lengths as the favorite.

The seven furlong synthetic race saw Swot Analysis race on the outside of another horse as they dueled for the lead down the backstretch. They were joined as they entered the turn with all three horses running head-to-head for the victory.

In the stretch the other two started fading quickly just as Swot Analysis found another gear to easily pull away in the final furlong.

Trained by Mark Casse for D. J. Stable, Cash Is King, and West Point Thoroughbreds, it was his second win in four career starts with only one off-the-board finish to his name.

Swot Analysis is one of five stakes performers for his sire, giving ANCHOR DOWN nearly 12 percent stakes horses to runners as one of the top percentage sires by stakes performers in his class.
