ANCHOR DOWN’s Swot Analysis Leads Two Winner Weekend for Sire

Freshman sire scored two winners in 24 hours

Swot Analysis proved to be much the best on Friday at the Fair Grounds when he romped by 9 ¾ lengths to break his maiden and become ANCHOR DOWN’S sixth winner. Making his second start, Swot Analysis had recorded a bullet in his last work at Churchill Downs before heading to the Fair Grounds for this race.

Ridden by Declan Carroll for trainer Mark Casse, the colt quickly moved toward the rail from his outside post to challenge the leader in the 5 ½ furlong race. As they entered the stretch Swot Analysis had the lead and from there the race was over. No one was up to the task of chasing the colt down as he crossed the line an eased down winner.

Owned by D.J. Stable and Cash Is King, the 2-year-old was bred by Clear Creek Stud out of their mare Solo Buena, who has two winners from two to race. That mare is a half-sister to seven-time stakes winner Ide Like a Double and two-time stakes winner Old Bushmill with blacktype throughout Swot Analysis’s first four dams.

Swot Analysis was the first of two winners in 24 hours for Anchor Down with Successful Legacy breaking her maiden the next day at Tampa Bay Downs. Trained by Gerald S. Bennett for Mr Pug LLC and J.P.G 2 LLC, the filly was bred by Farm III Enterprises.

ANCHOR DOWN now has seven winners from his first crop.
