TAPWRIT has another talented juvenile after Alula won in Saudi Arabia on Thursday in his debut.
Racing over six furlongs on the dirt, the colt was among the leaders in the sprint as he kept pressure on the pacesetter. Set into gear at the top of the stretch, he entered a duel with that runner and took over the lead in the final sixteenth to win by just over a length.
Bred by Clifton Farm, Alula was sold as a short yearling to Chad Schumer at the 2021 Keeneland January Sale.
One of four Belmont Stakes (G1) winners for TAPIT, TAPWRIT is the sire of nine winners in three different countries with eight other placers, among 28 starters in his first crop (61% ITM).
