SPUN TO RUN’s Rayden and Remi started his year just the way he left 2024 – as a winner.
Making his second start in just under two weeks, the Scott Gelner trainee made his 2025 debut going six furlongs on the Fair Grounds dirt with Floren Geroux aboard. The gelding was settled just a few lengths behind a pair of dueling leaders as they stayed head and head while he waited for his turn to go.
Moving closer in the far turn, he pulled up to third as the field entered the stretch and quickly targeted the front duo. Making steady progress throughout the closing stage, he was able to collar them before the line and win by three quarters of a length.
Racing for Thompson Racing, the Cloyce Clark Jr.-bred is out of the Mr. Greeley mare Moonlit Bayou. In all, that mare has four winners from four to race, led by the stakes placed Girl Likes Bling.
There are stakes performers under each of the gelding’s first five dams with the group led by Grade 1 winner Balletto and Moonlit Bayou’s seven stakes winning half-sister sister K P Wildcat.
SPUN TO RUN is the sire of 16 winners from his first crop, led by the stakes placed Midnight Humor.
