Young Gainesway stallions were in the spotlight on the Paulick Report this week when DRAIN THE CLOCK and CHARGE IT were chosen as part of the All-Value Sire team.
An exciting year for DRAIN THE CLOCK started early when Jessica Tugwell picked him as her Freshman First Team choice in her All Value Sire selections. DRAIN THE CLOCK’s first juveniles hit the track in 2026 and Tugwell feels there’s no reason breeders shouldn’t expect them to visit the winner’s circle early.
“He won his first two starts as a 2-year-old, including a six-length debut victory, and I would not be surprised to see his foals come out of the gates running this spring,” she said.
Both Tugwell and fellow guest analyst George Adams put CHARGE IT on their Prospect teams as well.
Tugwell put him as her First Team choice while Adams had the TAPIT son as his Second Team selection.
“There’s a lot of time to go before we’ll know much at all about the ability of Charge It’s foals, but he’s a fantastic physical with a great pedigree and he was brilliant on his best day. The market loved him last spring when he was the most popular first-year sire — which means he was also priced right,” Adams said.
