Twenty Juveniles for OLYMPIAD at OBS April

A month after seeing his first 2-year-olds on offer sell for up $300,000, OLYMPIAD is back with 20 juveniles at the OBS Spring 2-Year-Olds In Training Sale.

A half-sister to the multiple stakes winning Bankit sells with Hidden Brook as Hip 168 during the first day of the sale.

The filly’s dam Sister In Arms has produced four winners overall from seven to race and was a multiple winner herself. Bed by her consignor with Blue Devil Racing, Hip 168’s granddam is the stakes placed Quiet Down. Quiet Down produced stakes winner and multiple Grade 3-placed Quiet Meadow, who went on to produce Australian stakes winner Special Missile.

Breezing in :10.1, the Top Line Sales offered Hip 283 comes into the ring with bragging rights as a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Leave No Trace.

A Gainesway-bred filly, she is out of the four-time winning Good Journey mare Tanquerray. That mare has produced three winners from five to race as one of four winners out of her own dam. That mare is a half-sister to the stakes placed Star of Anziyan and out of a half-sister to the stakes winning Oncefortheroad.

The Newstead Corp-bred Hip 440 stopped the clock in :10.0 for Julie Davies during the Under Tack Show.

She hails from a strong family as a daughter of the Grade 3 winning Aloof, whose five winners from eight to race include Grade 3 winner Just Aloof. Aloof is out of the Group 1 winning Airwave, who was a notable broodmare in her own right. Airwave produced Aloof’s stakes winning full brothers Keats and Orator and Ireland’s 2017 Broodmare of the Year Meow. Meow is most notably the dam of Group 1 winners Churchill and Clemmie among her multiple stakes winners.

Niall Breenan Stables offers Hip 690, a colt who breezed in :10.1.

Bred by Eugene Patrick Cahalan, he saw an update in March when his 4-year-old half-sister Sailaway won for the fourth time in her career to take her earnings to $149,133. That filly is one of six winners from six to race out of the winning Street Cry mare Cry Hallelujah, who has been a successful producer. Cry Hallelujah is the dam of stakes winner Supercommittee and stakes placed Ian Smith among her runners.

She’s followed in her own stakes winning dam’s footsteps as a producer with Mujado producing four winners overall, led by the Grade 1 winning Joha. Every dam on this page has produced at least one stakes winner with Mujado a half-sister to both the stakes winning Limanda and the stakes placed Unaria’s Pet.

Cry Hallelujah produced a filly from MUTH’s first crop in March.

Envision Equine’s Hip 1185 has a strong set of siblings behind him with dam No Better Terms’ six winners from six to race including four stakes performers. No Better Terms’ best runner is the champion Another Miranda with the mare also producing stakes winner and Grade 3-placed Stealthediamond, stakes winner Kimerlea K, and stakes placed Straighten Up. Kimberlea K has also kept the producing tradition alive as the dam of the stakes placed Riperton.

No Better Terms is a half-sister to three stakes performers and out of a stakes placed runner herself with that group led by stakes winner and stakes producer My Due Process and Grade 2-placed Kong’s Revenge.
