TAPWRIT’s Sola Bella Wins Clasico Camarero (PR-G1)

It was an international Grade 1 winner for TAPWRIT when Sola Bella won the Clasico Camarero (PR-G1) on Sunday.

Looking for her third win in four career starts, Sola Bella bolted to the lead in the seven furlong Grade 1 and never looked back. The gray kept multiple lengths between herself and the field with three in hand going into the final furlong.

The race favorite tried to run Sola Bella down late but had no chance with TAPWRIT’s daughter winning by 1 ¼ lengths and the third placed runner five lengths behind her.

Trained by Ramon Morales for Sonata Stables, the Potrero Los Llanos-bred has won three of her four starts and was second in the Ramon Llobet, Jr. Stakes in her only loss.

The filly is one of two winners from three to race for Danceinthemoment, whose only non-winner is the multiple-placed TAPWRIT colt Top Dance. Danceinthemoment is a full sister to the stakes placed Sea To Sea and half-sister to the stakes placed Tidal Dancer.

The mare’s dam is out of Canadian Horse of the Year and top broodmare Dance Smartly, whose descendants include Grade 1 winners Dancethruthedawn, Moreno, and Say The Word.
