Monomoy Girl, a 2-year-old Tapizar filly who had impressively won her first two outings on the grass, made an impressive shift to the main track for her stakes debut Oct. 29, romping by 6½ lengths to capture the $82,670 Rags to Riches Stakes at Churchill Downs (VIDEO).

Trained by Brad Cox for Michael Dubb and Monomoy Stables, Monomoy Girl ran her record to three victories in as many starts. The final time for the one-mile event was 1:36.29, more than a full second faster than colts required in the Street Sense Stakes one race later on the card.

Bred by Frankfort Park Farm and Highfield Ranch, Monomoy Girl is out of the Henny Hughes mare Drumette. Consigned by Gainesway at the 2016 Keeneland September yearling sale, Monomoy Girl was a $100,000 purchase by BSW Bloodstock agent Liz Crow.
