The Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale on August 9 and 10 give buyers a chance to buy blue-blooded TAPIT yearlings with six cataloged over the two days.

TAPIT’s first through the ring comes midway through the opening session when Denali Stud presents Hip 61. The filly is out of stakes-placed Checkupfromzneckup, whose only runner from two of racing age is now undefeated in three starts, the most recent coming earlier this month (not represented in the catalogue). By Dixie Union, Checkupfromzneckup is out of the Grade 1-placed Unbridled Lassie, who is also the granddam of three other stakes performers, led by Grade 1-placed Magna Light. The TAPIT / Dixie Union cross is an A++ nick represented by graded stakes-winning stars Mohaymen, Pauline’s Pearl, Enforceable, and Kingly.

In addition to massive potential as a runner, the WinStar Farm and Winchell Thoroughbreds co-bred filly is a ready-made broodmare prospect, as she is as a great-granddaughter of successful broodmare Lassie Connection. In addition to her own success as a broodmare, Lassie Connection is also a half-sister to Broodmare of the Year Weekend Surprise, whose foals include A.P. Indy, Summer Squall, etc.

Lane’s End is consigning Failsafe, a colt going through the ring as Hip 92. Bred by Summer Wind Equine, he is out of Grade 3 winner and multiple Grade 1-placed Feathered. The dam of two winners from two to race, Feathered is also the dam of TAPIT’s winning son Flightline. A “TDN Rising Star”, Flightline blew away his competition earlier this year with a 13+ length score to earn a 105 Beyer speed figure on debut. Feathered is a granddaughter of dual Grade 1 winner Finder’s Fee, and her great-granddam is Grade 1 winner Fantastic Find as well.

Two TAPITs are part of the Gainesway consignment with the farm sending out a grandson of champion Fleet Indian first. Hip 98 is out of the stakes-placed Fleet Of Gold, whose half-sister is the dam of champion Game Winner and recent Grade 1 winner Flagstaff as well.

Hip 139 is also from the Gainesway consignment and is the first foal out of graded stakes winner and multiple Grade 1-placed Madame Stripes. Madame Stripes is also a full sister to stakes winner Equal Court and multiple Grade 1-placed Equal Counceller. Their dam is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Cagnotte and stakes winner Calvados, from the family of champion Compagnarde (ARG).

TAPIT’s last offering is Hip 208 for Four Star Sales. A half-brother to a winner and a placer from his Candy Ride dam’s two to race, the colt’s second dam takes up the rest of his room on the page. Dam Sweet Talkin is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Adieu, graded stakes winners Direct Line and Rapport and stakes winner Speak Wisely. Another stakes performing half-sister is also the dam of multiple stakes winner Laurie’s Rocket, stakes winner Greeley’s Rocket, and stakes-placed Wide Excellent in addition to being the granddam of Grade 3-placed Necker Island.

Half-brother Cavalry Charge won his four-year-old debut in allowance company at Churchill by an emphatic 5 lengths on the turf, which is not represented in the catalogue.

Celebrating 100 years of offering horses, the Saratoga Sale starts at 6:30 p.m. ET each night. You can see a complete PDF of TAPIT’s offerings here.
