Rayden and Remi Newest SPUN TO RUN Winner

It was a second new winner in four days for SPUN TO RUN on Saturday when Rayden and Remi won at the Fair Grounds.

Breaking from one of the widest gates in the 5 ½ length dirt race, Rayden and Remi stayed outside the field for much of the race. He stayed in that spot around the turn and into the stretch when he was taken to the seven path by Florent Geroux.

A narrow lead was challenged in the stretch, but Rayden and Remi was able to put the other runners away to pull away by 1 ¾ lengths.

Trained by Scott Gelner for Thompson Racing, Rayden and Remi was bred by Cloyce Clark Jr. out of Moonlit Bayou. That mare is the dam of four winners from four to race, led by the stakes placed Girl Likes Bling.

Moonlit Bayou is a half-sister to the multiple stakes winner K P Wildcat and from the family of Grade 1 winner Balletto.

Rayden and Remi follows up on Equilibrio’s victory on Christmas Day with today’s winner his sire’s 16th overall.
