It was a third winner for RAGING BULL on Friday when son Proletariat broke his maiden in his second start in a Del Mar Maiden Special Weight going five furlongs on the turf.
After a bit of trouble at the break, the $200,000 OBS March juvenile settled just off the leader with the rest of the field over five lengths behind the top three. He engaged the leader in a duel around the turn with the pair continuing their battle down the stretch with neither willing to give in.
Proletariat had a slight advantage going into the final furlong and grew that to half a length at the wire with the third placed runner 8 ¾ lengths behind the winner.
PROLETARIAT ($8.60) breaks his maiden in his 2nd try in the 3rd at @DelMarRacing. The two-year-old son of @Gainesway's Raging Bull (FR) is trained by @Jmullinsracing. @FreytheF was in the irons.

Racing for Dutch Girl Holdings and Irving Ventures, Proletariat is trained by Jeff Mullins. His racing owners purchased him for $200,000 in March.
Bred by Liberty Road Stables, Proletariat is a half-brother to KARAKONTIE’s multiple Group 2-placed Sun Never Sets with the pair out of the stakes placed Kodiak West. That mare is now a perfect two-for-two on winners to runners.
The colt is bred on the same Dark Angel son x Kodiac mare cross as Group 3 winner Corazon with Dark Angel siring three-time Group 1 winner Charyn and group winners Wings of War and My Mate Alfie out of Kodiac mares.
RAGING BULL’s three winners is the third highest of all North American freshman sires in 2025.
