The final juvenile sale of 2025 sees six offerings from RAGING BULL’s first crop wrapping up the season for their sire at the OBS June 2-Year-Olds In Training Sale.
Breezing in the second fastest time of the sale when stopping the clock in :10.0 was a La Mancha Farm-offered filly out of Black Sand bred by White Birch Farm selling as Hip 173.
This is the first foal out of the winning Dubawi mare, who is a full sister to Group 3 placed Cambridge and half-sister to the stakes winning Maqsad. The trio is out of multiple stakes placed Galileo mare Amerique. This page gets even better under that mare’s dam Aquarelliste. A multiple Group 1 winner, Aquarelliste is the dam of two stakes winners – including stakes winner and Grade 1-placed Ame Bleue. The dam of nine winners produced four stakes performers overall with two of her non-blacktype earners producing stakes winners.
Black Sand had a RAGING BULL filly last year as well.
Ordonez Thoroughbreds is the consignor for Hip 48, a filly out of Tupelo Hon E who breezed in :10.2.
Bred by Elm Tree Farm, the filly is the second foal out of multiple winning mare Tupelo Hon E. That mare is out of a winning full sister to the multiple stakes place Miss Inclined. Miss Inclined produced the stakes winning Hollis and Grade 1 placed Lady Lilly. Half-siblings to the filly’s granddam also include Grade 2 winner Rush Baby and the dam of Grade 2 winner Itsaknockout.
A filly out of four-time winner Amnicalola named Sunnyday Lightning offered by Sugar Hill sells as Hip 124.
Bred by Christiana Stables and Royal Oak Farm, this is the first foal out of that mare. Amnicalola is one of nine winners out of the Grade 3-placed Copelan’s Angel, who also produced the stakes winning Fly Away Angel and stakes placed In The Paint. Fly Away Angel produced Grade 3 placed Sonja’s Angel, who was the dam of two stakes performers herself. This page includes Grade 1 winners Pure Fun and Chelsey Flower as well.
The New York-bred Rageville sells as Hip 364 through the Wildheart Thoroughbreds consignment.
That colt out of the stakes placed Hennyville is a half-brother to four winners from six to race, including a filly who won on May 23. Hennyville is a half-sister to Grade 3-placed Larry’s Revenge and to the dam of the stakes placed duo of Associate and Reech Band. Under Rageville’s third dam are Grade 1 winners Fran’s Valentine and With Anticipation to take the page to 12 stakes performers under his first three dams.
The first foal out of the Ribchester mare Longridge Fell sells as Hip 522 with Hernandez Stable after breezing in :10.1.
Longridge Fell is a half-sister to the multiple stakes winning Parchemin with her second dam producing four stakes performers, led by the stakes winning duo of Choisya and Pelerin. Each of Longridge Fell’s first nine dams have produced stakes performers with the great Oh So Sharp produced by one of those dams. Just on this Jay Goodwin and Greathouse Equine-bred filly’s page alone there are three stakes winners and seven stakes performers.
The :10.1 breezing Hip 686 is a C.L. Kidder-bred colt offered by New Hope AB out of Rangerette, a winning half-sister to Grade 1 winner Sand Springs.
Sand Springs also turned into a successful broodmare as the dam of stakes winner Our Entourage and Mellon Martini and the stakes placed Polperro. Two of Rangerette’s other half-sisters are the dams of Breviary and Wordsmith with a third one producing Petorri. This colt’s second dam is so prolific that there are only two dams shown on his page.
The sale takes place on June 17 and 18 with each session starting at 10:00a.m. ET and will be livestreamed on the OBS website.
