RAGING BULL’s first juveniles yet again impressed during the Under Tack Show at the OBS Spring 2-Year-Old In Training Sale this week with five of his 2-year-olds scheduled to go through the ring next week.
Breezing the second fastest furlong of the Under Tack show when stopping the clock in :10.0 was Hip 188, a RAGING BULL filly out of the winning More Than Ready mare More Than Gracious. Bred by Dede McGehee and going through the ring for the second time when consigned by JVC Training and Sales, she is a half-sister to one winner from one runner out of her dam.

More Than Gracious is one of two winners for her own stakes winning dam Gracility, who produced the stakes winning House of Grace. The mare’s daughters have also been producers with Gracility’s daughter How Nice the dam of the multiple stakes winner Nice As Pie and stakes winner Smokin’ Jay.
Each of More Than Gracious’s first seven dams have produced at least one stakes performer with six producing stakes winners. More Than Gracious also has a KARAKONTIE yearling colt to come
A trio of RAGING BULL juveniles registered :10.1 breezes with Hip 831 the first of the three to be offered when going through the ring as Hip 831 with Marcial Galan.
Bred by Jason Hall, Stephen Baker, David Branch, and Bill Vanlandingham, this will be the first time through the ring for the half-sister to the stakes winning Valence. They are out of the stakes placed Button Girl, who also produced multiple winner Aciano from her five to run.
Button Girl comes from a long line of stakes producers with her own stakes placed dam also the dam of Grade 3 winner Coracle. In all, Button Girl is an eighth-generation stakes producer. Her sisters also fall into that category with three producing stakes performers, including the Grade 2-placed Nutty Futty and one of them producing the dam of Grade 2 winner Air Force Red as well.
Hip 866 was the second :10.1 breezer for his sire and is offered by Advanced Thoroughbreds.
Bred by Leonard Gilkison and sold to this consignor at Keeneland September, the colt is the second out of Chanel’s Pride. That mare is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner and Grade 3-placed Chanel’s Legacy and five other winners out of three-time winner Chanel Number Mine. Chanel’s Legacy is the dam of MCKINZIE’s stakes winner Cyclone State and the stakes placed Zatara from her own two winners.
Each of Chanel’s Pride’s first three dams have produced stakes performers with her third dam producing three stakes winners.
Hip 1118 registered his :10.1 breeze during the last day of the Under Tack Show for First Call.
Bred by Brandywine Farm, he is out of Galileo mare Great Morning who produced six winners from 10 to race. Great Morning is a half-sister to the stakes winning Mount Eliza, who produced her own stakes winner in Big Country. The page also includes Group 1 winner Grise Mine among the six stakes winners on the page.
This colt is bred on the same cross that produced Dark Angel’s Group 1 winner Angel Bleu and three other stakes performers from 32 to race.
RAGING BULL’s first through the ring also stopped the clock in a fast time with Hip 23 registering a :10.2 work during the first day of the Under Tack Show.
Consigned by Julie Davies, the filly out of Lady Juliet bred by Southern Comfort Farm is a half-sister to four-time winner Bonus Appreciation. Their Giant’s Causeway dam is out of the stakes winning Sol Mi Fa, who was a second-generation stakes winner after her French Oaks (G1) winning dam Sil Sila.
