RAGING BULL Juveniles Catch Eye at OBS Under Tack Sale

RAGING BULL’s first 2-year-olds are already impressing with one of his colts registering the second fastest time at this week’s OBS March 2-Year-Olds In Training Sale. That colt, Hip 284, is one of 10 juveniles from RAGING BULL’s first crop offered at the sale taking place from March 11 – 13.

Consigned by GOP Racing Stable Corp as agent, Hip 248 was bred by Liberty Road Stables out of Kodiak West. That stakes placed mare is also the dam of KARAKONTIE’s multiple Group 2 placed Sun Never Sets from her one foal of racing age.

Three of the four dams on his page have produced at least one stakes performer with the lone dam who didn’t produce one being the dam of two stakes producers.

In all, there are five stakes performers on the page, led by Group 2 winner Carrizo Creek, who won in England, Ireland, Hong Kong, and Australia.

Finishing just one tick slower than that colt was RAGING BULL’s first offering of the sale – Hip 82, consigned by Hoppel.

That filly bred by Bedell Conboy is a daughter of First Samurai mare Dirty Red and granddaughter of the stakes winning Special Cheers, who produced five winners from five to race. Special Cheers leads the 11 winners from 11 runners out of Frisky Cheerleader, who is also the granddam of the Grade 3-placed Tough To Tame.

The filly’s four dams on the page have produced 24 winners from 27 runners, led by multiple stakes winner and Grade 3-placed Special Request.

Hip 782 consigned by Blue Sapphire Stables was another to breeze in a time of :10.1.

The Brandywine Farm-bred out of Bertie’s Image is a half-sister to the Grade 3 placed Imagery among the three winners from five to race. This filly is from the strong Bertie family with her third dam Thunder Berties winning a Grade 3 before producing a stakes winner and the dam of two other stakes performers.

In all, there are nine stakes performers named on the page with 17 winners under her first four dams.

A de Meric Sales consigned colt offered as Hip 575 was another :10.1 breezer for RAGING BULL during the Under Tack Sale.

The colt is a half-brother to the sakes winning Killer Bird and Grade 3-placed Stellar Lady who are two of four winners out of the winning Stellar Baby. A $100,000 weanling bred by Carol Ricker, the colt’s page is full of blacktype with a half-sister producing stakes winner You Look Cold. The four stakes performers under his second dam include he stakes winning duo of Galactic Cat and Just Google Me with four more stakes winners under his third dam for 13 stakes performers overall under the three dams on the page.

Hip 736 out of Angel Choir consigned by Caliente Thoroughbreds was bred by Cove Springs LLC.

A five-time winner herself, Angel Choir has produced three winners from four to race with her dam producing six winners. That stakes winning dam is also the dam of the Grade 2-placed Quail Hill among those six winners. Each of Angel Choir’s first three dams have either produced stakes performers or the dams of stakes performers with eight overall named under the four dams on the page.

The sale takes place from March 11 to March 13 with sessions starting at 11:00am daily.
