TAPIT saw his total of seven figure yearlings rise to 40 during the Keeneland September Yearling Sale, including the highest priced yearling of the third session.
TAPIT’s most expensive yearling came two days earlier, however, when Shadwell Farm went to $1.2 million to secure a daughter of Immediate Impact.
Consigned by Clearsky Farm, the filly is the first foal out of the winning Into Mischief mare Immediate Impact and was the third most expensive filly of the first session.
A daughter of stakes winner and successful broodmare Bubbler, Immediate Impact is a half-sister to champion Arrogate and stakes winner Osare with her stakes placed TAPIT half-sister Diamond Ore a three-quarter sister to this filly.
This is a successful family throughout the page with the yearling’s fourth dam being champion Meadow Star, who is also the third dam of Grade 1 winner Belle Gallantey. In all, this page contains six stakes winners and six other stakes performers under the four dams listed.
TAPIT’s third session topper was purchased for $1.05 million by Donato Lanni as agent for SF/Starlight/Madaket out of Grade 3 winner Verve’s Tale.
This is the fourth foal out of that Tale of Ekati mare, whose full brother is the Preakness Stakes (G1) runner-up Tale of Verve with their dam producing nine winners overall. This family is full of stakes winners throughout with those named including Grade 1 winners Zoftig, Zo Impressive, and Zaftig among the 11 stakes winners.
