OLYMPIAD Set to Close Sales Season With a Bang

The sire of the Keeneland November Sale’s most expensive weanling filly, OLYMPIAD is back with four short yearlings at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale.

His first through the ring comes 100 hips in when Four Star Sales offers a colt out of two-time winner Ri N Ginger as Hip 100.

This is the second foal for that Lookin At Lucky mare, whose first is an Audible filly. Ri N Ginger is a half-sister to the Grade 3 winner God Of Love and stakes winner Muskoka Wonder among five winning half-siblings out of four-time winner No Wonder. That mare is one of eight winners out of her own dam Starinthemeadow, whose best is the dual Grade 1 winner Weemissfrankie, who also produced Grade 3 winner and Grade 1-placed Don Frankie.

Taylor Made sends Hip 186 through the ring, the first foal out of More Than Ready mare Acoustic Shadow.

That mare is a granddaughter of TAPIT’s Grade 3 winning War Echo, who produced Group 3 winner Munitions among her three winners from three to race. War Echo is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Pyro and full sister to stakes winner and Grade 1 placed Farrier and the stakes placed and stakes producing Teardrop. Four Star Sales also offers Hip 348, the second foal out of Cicada Stakes winner Just Read It. That mare’s first was a $130,000 filly at this sale last year.

Out of Welcome Home, Mybrokenhome is also a half-sister to the multiple stakes placed Sounds of the City, who produced Grade 2 winner and multiple Grade 1 placed Venetian Harbor. Each of the dams with racing aged foals on this page have produced at least one stakes winner with stakes winners Peace Chant and Contrast just off the page as well.

Stoneriggs Farm offers the last OLYMPIAD of the sale with Hip 389 out of the stakes placed Autonomous. That mare’s first foal is a 3-year-old who was placed last year.

Autonomous is a half-sister to seven-time winner and stakes placed Aspect and out of a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Monba and stakes placed Gijima. Another half-sister is also the dam of Grade 1 placed Zatter, stakes placed Laxfield Road, and the dam of multiple stakes winner Practicallyelusive.
