It was an international winner for OLYMPIAD on Monday when Flight Doctor won at Urawa in Japan going four furlongs on the dirt.
The filly was hustled out of the gate by jockey Ryo Nobata and dueled with another runner lengths ahead of the rest of the field. The pair had over five lengths on everyone else and by the time they hit the stretch, even her longtime rival was left in the dust.
Flight Doctor used the stretch run to extend her lead, allowed to gallop home at her own pace in the final sixteenth for a five-length victory.
Trained by Tomoaki Kokubo, the Nancy Shuford-bred races for Makoto Kosuga.
