It was an apt naming choice for OLYMPIAD’s Real Gone on Saturday when the colt romped home by 8 ½ lengths at Gulfstream Park in a Maiden Special Weight.
The colt’s second start came in a six-furlong dirt race where he broke on top before deciding to sit off a battle for the lead. When that cooled down around the turn, Real Gone made his move and went for the lead.
He had command in the stretch and from there pulled away to win by a widening 8 ½ lengths with the third placed horse over 12 lengths behind him.
The OLYMPAID juvenile is trained by Patrick Biancone for KMN Racing and registered bullets in two of his last five works before this race.
ANOTHER first-crop winner for OLYMPIAD taking the gold today by 8 1/2 LENGTHS at Gulfstream 🥇

Real Gone is one of seven winners from seven to race out of the very successful broodmare No Better Terms. That mare was a winner and also produced this year’s Indiana Oaks (G3) winner Maximum Offer and three other stakes winners in addition to a stakes placed runner. One of her daughters is also the dam of the stakes placed Riperton.
Every dam on this page has produced at least one stakes winner with the page also including Grade 3 winner and Grade 1-placed Itty Bitty Pretty and multiple stakes winner and Grade 1-placed Greeley’s Conquest among others.
No Better Terms has a MCKINZIE yearling colt who brought $200,000 at the recent Fasig-Tipton New York-Bred Sale as well.
OLYMPIAD is the sire of seven winners from his first crop in three different countries with a stakes placed runner in a fourth country.
