A Grade 1 winner at two, three, and four, MCKINZIE was a top racehorse over four seasons of racing and this November, buyers will have a chance to buy the first weanlings by the young, promising sire at the Kentucky breeding stock sales.

Three MCKINZIE weanlings are scheduled to go through the ring on Sunday night during the Fasig-Tipton November Sale to kick off proceedings.

The first through the ring will be Hip 109, the first foal out of stakes winner Violent Times.

Hip 109 is offered by Stoneriggs Farm and comes from a proven stakes family with all four of the dams on the page either winning stakes or producing stakes performers. His fourth dam not only produced a stakes performer but is also the winner of Brazilian Grade 1 winner and U.S. graded stakes winner Verruma.

Hip 164 from the Wynnstay Sales consignment is the first foal out of TAPIT’s winning daughter Emrata. The filly from the family of Grade 1 winners I Want Revenge and In The Dark is a granddaughter of stakes-placed A Story of Revenge, who produced four winners from five to race. In all, there are eight stakes performers on the page with four of those being stakes winners.

Wynnstay Sales also offers Hip 179, the second foal out of stakes placed Gibby. That mare is a half-sister to Grade 1-placed Giuseppe The Great and one other winner from four foals to race. This family also includes Grade 3 winner Indian Ocean and stakes winners Megan’s Halo and Biwa Shinseiki in addition to Group 2-placed Indian Story.

Across town at Keeneland, MCKINZIE is the sire of 31 weanlings currently set to sell over the 10 sessions starting on Monday. Book 1 has three MCKINZIE weanlings – all offered by Gainesway.

The first of those is offered as Hip 63, a half-sister to TAPIT’s Grade 3 winner Delightful Joy, Grade 3 winner Cali Star and stakes winner Seymourdini. Those three are three of seven winners out of the Grade 3 winner and Grade 1-placed Graeme Six, who had five wins during her racing career.

This family is full of stakes form with 10 stakes winners and four other stakes performers listed under the March-born filly’s first three dams.

Hip 174 is a half-sister to the Grade 3-placed Parnelli out of the Bernardini daughter Sip Sip. Sip Sip herself is a daughter of Grade 2 winner Touch Love, who also produced multiple stakes winner Starfish Bay and TAPIT’s stakes-placed Love Train. Love Train is the dam of Grade 1 winner Tripoli with Starfish Bay producing multiple stakes winner Blind Ambition.

Bernardini mares are the dams of 38 graded stakes winners, 72 stakes winners, and 134 stakes performers led by 15 Grade 1 winners.  Included among those 15 Grade 1 winners are two by MCKINZIE’s sire Street Sense – dual Grade 1 winner Maxfield and Grade 1 winner Speaker’s Corner.

The final Book 1 offering by MCKINZIE is Hip 193, the first foal out of winning Will Take Charge mare Take Charge Angel. That mare earned major updates in recent months when her half-brother Cave Rock won both the American Pharoah Stakes (G1) and Del Mar Futurity (G1). Their dam is another stakes winner in the Grade 3 winner Georgie’s Angel, a half-sister to Grade 3 winner Lawn Ranger.

MCKINZIE’s Hip 451 is out of the multiple stakes-placed Miss Inclined. That mare also produced Street Sense’s multiple stakes winner Hollis and the Grade 1-placed Lady Lilly. Miss Inclined has proven to be a talented producer with five winners from five to race. Miss Inclined isn’t the only stakes winner on the page, one of her half-sisters produced Grade 2 winner Itsaknockout and stakes winner Storm Power while another produced stakes-placed Unbridled Ethos. Their dam Seoul also produced Grade 3 winner and multiple graded stakes placed Rush Bay.

Airdrie Stud sends Hip 689 through the ring, a half-brother to multiple graded stakes winner Significant Form and Grade 3 winner Hay Dakota among the three winners from three to race out of Church By The Sea. That mare is also a half-sister to Grade 2 winner Hello Liberty and stakes winner Pious Ashley. Hello Liberty is the matriarch of a family that includes five stakes performers, led by two stakes winners. Another half-sister is the dam of multiple graded stakes winner Cairo Memories and stakes winner Cariba with one of their half-sisters the dam of Grade 1 winner and Kentucky Derby (G1) third Zandon.

Gainesway consigns Hip 732, a colt out of a Grade 2-placed half-sister to dual Horse of the Year Wise Dan. Wise Dan isn’t Enchanting Lisa’s only stakes performing sibling, she is also a half-sister to multiple graded stakes winner Successful Dan and stakes winner Our Royal Dancer. Our Royal Dancer produced multiple graded stakes placed Bailando Voy while another half-sister produced stakes placed Unchain Her Heart. Under this colt’s third dam is the Grade 1-placed Carsona.

Hip 915 consigned by Warrendale Sales is a half-brother to the stakes winning Optionality and Simple Surprise in addition to stakes placed Simply Sovereign. Simple Surprise is also the dam of Grade 1 winner Gunite, who recently added another stakes win to his record in the Perryville Stakes.

In addition to his siblings winning stakes, the colt’s dam is the stakes winning Simplify, who herself is a half-sister to stakes winner Classify. Simplify’s winning TAPIT half-sister shows that the Street Sense cross works with this family as the dam of Grade 2 winner Air Strike and stakes winner Home Brew.

Hip 1594’s page shows the Bedouin Bloodstock-offered filly has plenty of potential as a half-sister to the Grade 1 winner Princess Violet. Their dam Lady Rapper also produced multiple stakes placed Baime from her seven to race with the mare producing four winners overall. There’s even more Grade 1 form on the page outside of her half-sister with the filly’s second dam being the Grade 1-placed She’s Got The Beat.

Three of the four dams on this page have produced stakes performers with that fourth dam earning blacktype herself.

Eaton Sales sends Hip 1661 through the ring, a filly out of seven-time winner Panoe. This is the first foal out of her dam, a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Fighting Mad and TAPIT’s Australian Group 3 winner Love Tap. That gelding provided a timely update to the page when he won at Flemington on Melbourne Cup (G1) day, the seventh win for that AU$508,000 earner. This page also includes another Grade 1 winner in High Fly, Dubai Grade 3 winner Estimraar, and Japanese Group 3 winner Shine Garnet.

Warrendale Sales also offers MCKINZIE’s Hip 1692 out of the Violence mare Rise Above. That mare’s juvenile filly fetched $350,000 as a yearling last year. Unraced herself, Rise Above is a half-sister to the Grade 1 winning Twilight Eclipse and multiple graded stakes winner Grand Contender. The colt’s third dam is stakes winner and Grade 2-placed Shimmy, whose descendants include Venezuelan Triple Crown winner and champion El Gran Cesar, Grade 3 winner Mythical Power, and stakes winner and nine-time winner Itsacryingshame in addition to the horses under this colt’s second dam.

The Fasig-Tipton November Sale takes place on November 6 with the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale starting on November 7 and ending on November 16.
