Among those five yearlings going through the ring is the McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds-bred and offered Hip 319 out of three-time winner Majestique. That mare is the dam of the $100,000 earner Determined among her own runners.
Majestique is a half-sister to the stakes winning Northern Station and four other winners out of her Quiet American dam Quiet Station with Northern Station also producing Grade 3 winner and Grade 2-placed Barbados.
The extended family of this colt includes Grade 1 winners Raven’s Pass, No Matter What, and Rainbow View.
Hip 530 comes into the ring with an update after his dam’s stakes winning full sister saw son Jimi Hendrix finish third in the Summer Mile Stakes (G2).
Closer on the Gainesway-offered colt’s page is his own half-brother increasing his earnings to $66,100 as one of two winners from two to race out of winner Blank Slate. There is stakes form throughout this page with his second through fourth dams all producing stakes winners with 12 race winners between them overall.
The final through the ring for MCKINZIE hails from a storied family with Hip 619’s fourth dam the successful broodmare Lassie Connection.
Consigned by Four Star Sales, closer to home the filly’s winning dam Fourscoreandseven has produced two winners from two to race. Fourscoreandseven is one of five winners from her own Mineshaft dam with that mare producing the Grade 1-placed Magna Light and multiple stakes-placed Unbridled Graduate.
Racetrack success runs throughout this family with her second through 10th dams all producing stakes performers and most producing stakes winners.
This sale kicks off at 7p.m. ET on August 13 with the second of two sessions taking place at noon on August 14.
