KARAKONTIE’S Princess Grace Brings $1.7 Million at Fasig-Tipton November

Set to continue racing in Australia

KARAKONTIE’S multiple graded stakes winning daughter Princess Grace is set to join his stakes winning daughter Karak in Australia after China Horse Club went to $1.7 million to secure her at the Fasig-Tipton November Sale.

Offered by Taylor Made Sales Agency, the ultra-consistent 5-year-old earned more than $1.4 million in her career with seven wins and six other top three finishes in 14 starts for $1.4 million in earnings. China Horse Club’s Michael Smith told Blood-Horse that Princess Grace will now embark on a racing career down under before her retirement to their broodmare band.

“(She was an) A-plus physical, Very consistent form. We’re going to take her to Australia and try and make her a group 1 winner, and then to the breeding shed,” Smith said. “She’s got another 12 months of racing in her and then she’ll be a beautiful addition to the broodmare band.”
