A great-grandson of bluehen and top racemare Miesque, KARAKONTIE earning his first Grade 1 winner has looked to be a foregone conclusion in recent years with multiple graded stakes winners already showing talent at the top level. That breakthrough came on Saturday when his daughter Spenderella romped to a Del Mar Oaks (G1) victory by 4 1/2 lengths as the second graded stakes winner by KARAKONTIE out of Spanish Bunny.
