Jamila Maf First Winner for MCKINZIE

It was a first winner for MCKINZIE on Saturday when Jamila Maf won at Krasnodar Hippodrome.

Already a placed runner before this race when second by a head on debut last month, she visited the winner’s circle this time out when racing over six furlongs on the dirt to kick off her career.

Trained by Artur Pshizov for Kubashichec A.S., Jamilia Maga was purchased from her breeder Don Alberto as part of Denali Stud’s 2013 Keeneland September Yearling Sale consignment.

The filly is a half-sister to stakes winner and Grade 3-paced Renio Joy as one of three winners from five to race out of multiple graded stakes winner Giant Remex.

The Giant’s Causeway daughter is one of three stakes performers out of a Grade 2 winning dam alongside stakes winner Relinda Inc and stakes-placed Remixada Oro.

MCKINZIE has proven to be a popular sire with his 34 juveniles sold this year averaging $200,753, led by a $750,000 colt.
