Gainesway-bred Jaywalk Earns Eclipse Award

Filly is pointed to G2 Davona Dale

Gainesway earned some accolades as breeders when the Jaywalk earned an Eclipse Award Winner as top 2018 2-year-old filly.

Jaywalk capped off a spectacular season with a 5 1/2-length win in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies at Churchill Downs. Prior to that, the daughter of Cross Traffic won four of five starts, including the G1 Frizette Stakes. She finished the year with earnings of $1,384,200.

Trained by John Servis for D. J. Stable and Cash is King, Jaywalk is currently working at Palm Meadows in anticipation of her 2019 debut. She is pointing toward the G2 Davona Dale at Gulfstream Park on March 2, according to Horse Racing Nation.

Gainesway bred Jaywalk in Kentucky from the Orientate mare Lady Pewitt. The farm sold her for $190,000 to John C. Servis, agent at the 2017 Keeneland September yearling sale.
