Four on Offer for TAPIT at Fasig-Tipton Saratoga

The sire of at least one top-five highest price yearling at three of the last five Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sales, record-breaking sire TAPIT has four set to go through the ring at next week’s edition of the sale.

The first TAPIT goes through the ring early in the first session when Woodford Thoroughbreds offers a filly out of Laskarina as Hip 4. This filly is out of a half-sister to the Grade 2 winner and rising star broodmare Justwhistledixie, who has been found major success with TAPIT. Her TAPIT foals include multiple graded stakes winner Mohaymen and Grade 3 winners Enforceable and Kingly. The mare has also produced Grade 1 winner New Year’s Day and stakes-placed Irish Unity.

A winner at three, Laskarina is also a full sister to Grade 2-placed Bakken and a half-sister to Grade 2 winner Chase City, the dam of stakes-placed Editor in Chief, and to the granddam of recent stakes performer Jumbeau.

TAPIT’s other offering on the first night of the sale is Hip 72 from the Taylor Made consignment, a filly out of the stakes winning Shayjolie. This filly is a sibling to two winners from two to race, including her three-quarter brother and three-time winner Risk and Reward.  A four-time winner and multiple graded-stakes placed runner herself, Shayjolie is a half-sister to the multiple graded stakes winner and Grade 1-placed Mythical Power.

This TAPIT x Indian Charlie cross has been golden with its 12 runners including superstar and two-time Grade 1 winner Flightline, 23-length Dwyer (G3) winner Charge It, stakes winner Goin To The Window, multiple graded-stakes placed Tapwater and dual stakes fourth place finisher Life’s Blessings.

TAPIT’s first offering in the second session is from the famed Chester and Mary Broman breeding program and offered by Sequel New York as Hip 134.

The New York-bred colt out of Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint (G1) winner Bar of Gold is a full brother to Grade 3 winner Coinage from his dam’s only foal to race. Bar of Gold is also a half-sister to the stakes placed duo of Land Mine and Homeland out of the Grade 3 winning Khancord Kid. Born on March 30, the chestnut’s fourth dam is the Grade 1 winner Key Phrase.

Coinage is one of two graded stakes winners for TAPIT out of Medaglia d’Oro mares alongside Grade 3 winner and Grade 1-placed Tap It To Win with three other stakes performers and one stakes fourth place finisher from 20 runners.

The last through the ring for TAPIT is the second foal out of the stakes winner and multiple Grade 1-placed Faithfully as Hip 179 from Hill ‘n’ Dale Sales Agency. Faithfully’s first foal is a TAPIT colt named Exude who has registered works at Saratoga. This filly’s second dam is a stakes-placed daughter of the champion racemare and successful broodmare Heavenly Prize.

Heavenly Prize also produced multiple Grade 1 winner Good Reward, Grade 2 winner Pure Prize, the dam of Grade 1 winners Instilled Regard and Persistently, granddam of Grade 1 winner Queen Goddess, and many others.
