The first foals by multiple graded stakes winner Bird Song, a son of the late prominent sire Unbridled’s Song and Eclipse champion 3-year-old filly Bird Town, have arrived at Gainesway.
Among the new sire’s newborn foals are a colt out of the Empire Maker mare Bird Maker, a filly out of the Stormy Atlantic mare Salty Breeze, and a filly out of the Street Sense mare Bird Sense.
Bird Song has all the credentials to impress as a sire, and his first foals are both eye-catching and full of potential.
Bird Song is out of a champion half-sister to triple Grade 1 winner Birdstone, who sired two classic winners in his first crop. The sire’s second dam is 2004 Broodmare of the Year, Dear Birdie.
During his race career, Bird Song earned triple-digit Beyer Speed Figures in two 2017 graded stakes victories, the Alysheba Stakes (G2) over 1 1/16 miles at Churchill Downs and the Fred W. Hooper Stakes (G3) over one mile at Gulfstream Park
Bird Song stands at Gainesway for $5,000 LFSN.
