Impressive Saudi Winner for OLYMPIAD

A busy week for OLYMPIAD continued on Friday when he had a Saudi Arabia exacta with Ya Kareem beating home Nahhab to register his maiden victory.

Taking on a field of five others in the seven-furlong dirt race, Ya Kareem tracked the leader into the far turn before turning on the jets in the stretch. He confronted the pacesetter once they straightened out and made easy work of the run with Nahhab trying to stick with him as they left the field far behind.

The Salman Aladhayani-trained colt pulled away to an easy two length victory with the third placed runner four lengths behind Nahhab.

Bred by Stoneriggs Farm, Ya Kareem races for Prince Faisal Bin Kaled Bin Abdulaziz and was purchased from Keeneland January last year.

He is the third winner from three to race out of Brandons Danger, an Into Mischief half-sister to stakes winner Wyatt’s Town and Grade 3-placed Triple Espresso. This is also the family of champion Halfbridled and Grade 1 winner Mshawish among others.

Ya Kareem is the third winner for OLYMPIAD since Wednesday with the stallion registering a Wednesday double.
