The buyer of MCKINZIE’s Grade 1 winning Baeza in the second book of the 2023 Keeneland September Yearling sale, Mayberry Farm was back for another MCKINZIE offering in the same book this year with a $700,000 filly.
The filly offered by Runnymede Farm is a half-sister to the Grade 3 winner and multiple Grade 1 placed Remember Mamba as one of two runners out of Uncle Mo’s Gizmo. That mare is one of seven winners out of her own dam with the group led by stakes winner Plentiful.
Each of this filly’s first 10 dams have produced stakes horses or the dam of stakes horses with nine of them falling into the stakes producer category.
MCKINZIE’s other yearlings sold for $350,000, $350,000, etc. for an average of $322,500 for six sold in the second book.
MCKINZIE has 61 horses left to sell in the final four books of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale over the coming week.
