It was a second winner on the day for OLYMPIAD on Wednesday when Baby Beth made easy work of a Saratoga Maiden Special Weight on debut.
The Jorge Abreu trainee flew out of the gate to take over the lead early on when racing six furlongs on the dirt. Relaxed under Manny Franco, the filly led without any serious pressure down the backstretch. Franco started asking the filly to step it up with a quarter mile left to run and she cut the corner to start to grow her lead in the stretch.
Franco asked her for a bit more late with Baby Beth pulling away to win by 2 ΒΎ lengths with the third placed runner six lengths behind her at the line.

A $100,000 2-year-old purchase, Baby Beth races for John and Beth Lauriello and had put in eye-catching works at Saratoga leading up to this event.
The filly was bred in New York by Rockridge Stud and Ascendant Farm out of the stakes placed mare Jabuticaba. That City Zip mare now has a winner and placed runner from two to race.
Jabuticaba is out of a four-time winning half-sister to the stakes winning Gattopardo and Grade 2 placed Amerigo among eight winners out of the stakes winning Senza Paura.
This is also the family of champion Twilight Jet and Group 1 winner Germany among many others.
Jabuticaba foaled a filly from SEIZE THE GREYβs first crop on May 3.
Also the sire of a winner in Ireland on Wednesday, OLYMPIADΒ now has five winners in three different countries.
