Six Mares In Foal to TAPIT TRICE Sell at Keeneland November

Grade 1 winning TAPIT son TAPIT TRICE sees a select group of seven mares from his first book on offer at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale from November 4 to 11.

A daughter of Grade 2 winner and three-time Grade 1 placed More Chocolate sells as Hip 1547 with Gainesway.

MCKINZIE’s daughter Chocolate Truffle is carrying her first foal by TAPIT TRICE and has plenty of potential as a broodmare. Her own dam produced Grade 1-placed Mirahmadi among three winners from five to race and is one of three stakes winners out of Grade 2 winner Little Treasure. Little Treasure is also the granddam of three stakes performers and sees her half-sister’s granddaughter Rabbit’s Foot with two new group placings. Rabbit’s Foot was already a stakes winner but recently placed third in the Prix de Royallieu (G1) and the Prix Lady O’Reilly. She’s also a half-sister to Group 2 winner and Group 1 placed Zarakem. They are among the 12 stakes winners under Chocolate Truffle’s first three dams.

Gainesway is the consignor of Hip 2460, a two-time winning half-sister to multiple stakes producers.

Glad Your Back recently saw her juvenile place in his first start to take her to two placers from two to race with a weanling by MCKINZIE to come. The Speightstown mare is a half-sister to stakes winner and Grade 3-placed Pool Winner and to the multiple stakes placed Sounds of the City.

Sounds of the City is the dam of three-time Grade 2 winner and dual Grade 1-placed Venetian Harbor. Another winning half-sister is the dam of the stakes winning Just Read It with Glad Your Back one of seven winners out of the stakes winning Welcome Home. One of two stakes performers out of her dam, Glad Your Back is a granddaughter of champion Safely Kept, who produced the stakes winning duo pf peace Chant and Contrast.

A granddaughter of three-time Grade 1 winner Exotic Wood sells as Hip 2606 with Paramount Sales.

Pretty Exotic is the dam of one winner from two three or older with her 2-year-old Ember Crown also showing up on the work tab. A Pioneerof the Nile mare, Pretty Exotic a half-sister to the stakes winning Underwood and stakes placed Exotic Slew among three winners out of Exotic Wishes. That A.P. Indy mare is a full sister to the stakes winning Key to Power and the dam of Grade 2-placed Grand Profeta. Those produced by Exotic Wood’s daughters and granddaughters also include the stakes winning duo of Bold Fantasy and Secret Love in addition to the Grade 2-placed Gran Profeta.

A stakes winning mare, Shanghai Tariff sells as Hip 2643 with Paramount Sales.

A six-time winner overall with 15 top three finishes in 23 starts for $426,945 in earnings, Shanghai Tariff finished in the top three in five of her six stakes appearances. Her first foal has already proven to be productive as well with that 3-year-old winning two races in 2025 with seven top three finishes in 14 starts.

Shanghai Tariff is a half-sister to the stakes winning Starry Pursuit and Vannistelrooy Star and to the dam of two stakes performers with two of that mare’s daughters also producing stakes performers. Each of Shanghai Tariff’s first six dams all producing stakes performers with Shanghai Tariff one of 12 stakes performers under her first four dams.
