2-time Eclipse Champion Goodnight Olive checked in foal to Seize the Grey

Gainesway announced April 25 that dual Eclipse Champion Goodnight Olive has checked in-foal to SEIZE THE GREY.

Goodnight Olive was dominant on the racetrack, winning four Grade 1 events, including the Ballerina H., Madison S., and Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint twice. Her stellar accomplishments on the track led to a pair of Eclipse Awards, as the Champion Female Sprinter in both 2022 and 2023, while compiling nearly $2.2-million in career earnings.
After delivering her first foal in February of this year, she was bred back to Gainesway stallion SEIZE THE GREY, winner of the 2024 Preakness (G1). Seize the Grey is the highest-earning son of Arrogate with earnings over $2.4 million.

Goodnight Olive was purchased by John Stewart of Resolute Racing for $6-million at the 2023 Fasig-Tipton November Sale.

SEIZE THE GREY broke his maiden at Saratoga as a juvenile, defeating future Belmont Stakes (G1) winner Dornoch.  He was then triumphant with a front-running victory in the Pat Day Mile (G2) on the undercard of the Kentucky Derby. From there, SEIZE THE GREY became a dual Grade 1 winner and one of the top three-year-olds of his crop by going wire-to-wire in both the Preakness S. (G1) and the Pennsylvania Derby (G1). He is the highest-earning son of Arrogate.

SEIZE THE GREY stands for $30,000 LFSN at Gainesway.
