TAPIT Daughter Leads Way at Keeneland November

TAPIT daughter Lady Tapit was the most expensive in-foal mare of the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale to kick off November with a $1.8 million price tag.

Purchased by Whisper Hill and Gainesway from Paramount Sales, the 12-year-old mare was stakes placed on the track before producing Grade 1 winner Kingsbarns as her second foal. All three of the mares foals to race have won at least once to continue a winning tradition for her family.

Lady Tapit is out of Temperence Gift, who produced five winners herself, led by Grade 1 winner Gozzip Girl. Gozzip Girl produced Grade 2 winner Chuck Nate while Lady Tapit’s half-sister Gallileo Figaro also produced blacktype winners. The dam of three winners from five to race, Gallileo Figaro’s runners include Grade 3 winner Gallileo’s Town and Grade 3 winner and multiple Grade 1 placed Gianella.

TAPIT also saw his daughters sell for $725,000, $600,000, $400,000, etc with the stallion having the highest gross of any stallion at $7,276,500 and second highest average of sires with 25 or more sold.
